Sacramento Rail Road Museum

On Sunday my good friend Harold and I took the light rail from Folsom downtown to the Sacramento Rairoad Museum.  The museum is filled with huge trains of the past.  Some are impressive due to their size and the amount of power they must have had, others by their beauty and class.  I have always liked the passenger trains and cars and would love to take a trip across the country by train if it was a little more affordable and I could convince my wife to go.  One engine that ran from Virginia City to Truckey was amazing.  It had beautiful brass pipes and bright red wheels. it looked more like a ceremonial train than one that was used in daily runs.  If you are looking for something different to do for a day the Railroad Museum is a lot of fun.
